The Faculty of Food Technology with the support the Vietnam Association Food Science and Technology (VAFoST) organized successfully the international symposium within the framework of the annual international exhibition on Food Processing and Packaging Propak Vietnam 2017. The theme of the symposium was “Improving the quality of rice and rice products".
The seminar of this year mainly focused on methods used for managing food safety, the future, and the development trend of Vietnam's rice processing industry.The seminar attracted the attention a large of enterprises.

After the seminar, VAFoST cooperated with the ProPak Vietnam Organizing Committee to hold a seminar ahead of the "ASEAN Food Conference 2017 (AFC)". The seminar aimed to introduce the Main Organizing Committee of the Conference as well as calling for the cooperation and the sponsorship from organizations, companies, and universities.
