About STU

On the morning of June 19, 2025, Saigon Technology University (STU) held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TIM CORP Joint Stock Company (TIM CORP is a corporation specializing in providing equipment and ingredient solutions for the F&B industry, as well as specialized services for the food technology sector in Vietnam). This signing ceremony was recognized as an important event, marking the beginning of a new era in the partnership between the two parties and laying the foundation for enhancing the quality of human resource training in the field of Food Technology.

Attending the signing ceremony, on behalf of Saigon Technology University (STU) were Dr. Ngô Thị Thu Thủy – Chairwoman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hào Thi – President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Kim Anh – Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Ngọc Hòa – Dean of the Faculty of Food Technology; Dr. Hoàng Trung Tiến – Head of the Department of Scientific Research and Graduate Education; MSc. Vũ Trọng Anh – Head of the Student Affairs Office; along with faculty leaders representing various departments of Saigon Technology University.

Representing TIM CORP were Mr. Trần Dương Xuân Vũ – General Director of TIM CORP; Ms. Cao Thị Xuân Lộc – Director of External Affairs; and Ms. Phạm Thị Yến Nga – Head of Human Resources at TIM CORP.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ngô Thị Thu Thủy expressed her gratitude and joy as STU and TIM CORP embarked on an important new phase in their partnership. She also emphasized the vital role of connecting businesses with universities, highlighting that such collaboration serves as a bridge for sustainable development in the future.

Also at the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hào Thi – President of the University – shared the journey of collaboration between the two parties leading up to the signing of today's MOU. He expressed his hope that both sides would continue to strengthen cooperation through more joint activities, particularly in the fields of food technology, mechanical engineering, and beyond.

On behalf of TIM CORP, Mr. Trần Dương Xuân Vũ expressed his sincere thanks to Dr. Ngô Thị Thu Thủy – Chairwoman of the University Council – and the university leadership. He also shared about his own academic journey, the challenges he faced as a student, and the efforts that led him to find his passion in the field of food technology. Motivated by a desire to contribute to the food industry and support future generations, Mr. Vũ expressed his commitment to helping students access advanced scientific knowledge. He pledged that TIM CORP would accompany STU in organizing seminars and workshops to introduce cutting-edge technologies to students.

During the meeting, STU and TIM CORP reached a consensus on preliminary areas of cooperation, including: supporting practical training and internships both locally and abroad to provide students with opportunities to participate in real-world projects and employment after graduation; enhancing students' skills and professional capabilities; collaborating on product development based on the enterprise’s needs; and organizing specialized seminars to enable businesses to share knowledge, technologies, skills, and recruitment information with students.

This event marks the strengthening of the partnership between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for future collaborative programs. The cooperation opens up valuable opportunities for students to study and conduct research, promotes global integration, and contributes to developing a high-quality workforce that meets international standards.
