On the morning of March 12, 2025, Saigon Technology University (STU) held the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thompson Rivers University (TRU), British Columbia, Canada. This marks not only a significant step in STU’s strategy for the internationalization of education but also opens up numerous development opportunities for students and faculty of both institutions.
Attending the signing ceremony on behalf of Saigon Technology University (STU) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hào Thi – President, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Kim Anh – Vice President, Dr. Nguyễn Tùng Lâm – Director of the International Training Program Center (ITPC), Dr. Đặng Văn Thương – Head of the Department of Scientific Management and Postgraduate affairs, M.A. Phùng Bá Đông – Vice Dean of the Design Faculty, and M.A. Nguyễn Thị Như Hoa – Vice Dean of the Business Administration Faculty.
Representing Thompson Rivers University (TRU) was Dr. Suraj Shah, Director of Marketing and International Enrollment, along with leaders from various TRU departments.
In his speech at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hào Thi – President of STU, expressed his delight at the new development in the cooperation between STU and TRU. He hopes that in the near future, the two universities will establish joint training programs to strengthen their advantages, enhance their brands, and reaffirm their commitment to promoting international collaboration.
During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoàng Kim Anh – Vice President of STU, also expressed the university’s desire for further collaboration between the two institutions in the near future, particularly in faculty and student exchange programs as well as scientific research initiatives.
On behalf of Thompson Rivers University, Dr. Suraj Shah expressed gratitude to the STU leadership for their warm hospitality in welcoming the delegation. He emphasized TRU’s strong desire to collaborate with Saigon Technology University and expressed confidence that the partnership between the two institutions will continue to grow.
