Current Organizational Structure of Saigon Technology University (STU)

STU operates under a two-tier system, including the university level and its affiliated faculties, offices, departments, and centers. Additionally, the university has specialized departments directly under its administration.


A. University Leadership

  1. UniversityCouncil
    The University Council is the governing body representing investors and stakeholders. It is responsible for formulating and issuing the university's strategies and development plans, organizational regulations, and operational guidelines. The council also determines recruitment policies, academic program offerings, partnerships, research activities, and international collaborations. Other responsibilities include defining quality policies, organizational structure, tuition fees, payroll, and recruitment policies, adhering to legal frameworks.
    • The 2024–2029 University Council consists of 11 members, including representatives of investors, internal and external members, and the university president.
    • The council is headed by the Chairperson, currently Dr. Ngô Thị Thu Thủy.
  2. Executive Board:
    • The Executive Board is led by the University President, who represents STU in legal and societal contexts. The President is officially recognized by the Investor Assembly and University Council. The current President of STU is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cao Hào Thi.
    • The President nominates Vice Presidents, who are assigned specific responsibilities and act on behalf of the President as needed.
  3. Science and Training Council:
    • This council advises the President on significant, fundamental academic and research strategies to ensure the university's sustainable development, competitiveness, and alignment with global trends.
    • Members include leading academics within STU and accomplished intellectuals and business leaders outside the university.

B. Offices and Departments

  1. Office of Academic Affairs:
    • Advises the President on educational organization, oversees teaching and learning across programs, and coordinates schedules.
    • Collaborates with faculty deans for lecturer allocation, manages student records, organizes admissions, exams, and graduation processes.
    • Supports financial oversight of tuition and fees alongside the Planning and Finance Office.
  2. Department of Scientific Management and Postgraduate Affairs:
    • Directs research activities among faculty and students.
    • Manages academic and international collaborations, faculty development, and curriculum alignment with STU and Ministry of Education standards.
  3. Office of Administration and Management:
    • Ensures smooth university operations through document management, security, maintenance, and infrastructure improvement.
    • Supports investment projects and facilitates communication within the university.
  4. Finance Office:
    • Handles budgeting, financial management, asset supervision, and fulfills tax obligations.
    • Manages tuition and other fees from students.
  5. Office of Student Affairs:
    • Provides guidance for student development, organizes cultural and recreational activities, and offers career counseling.
    • Ensures comprehensive support during students' time at STU.
  6. University-Level Committees:
    • Established as needed, these include:
      • Advisory Council for Development
      • Admissions Committee
      • Graduation Committee
      • Recruitment Committee
      • Commendation and Disciplinary Committee
  7. Other Units:
    • Electronic Library: Supports information retrieval and research with a collection of over 6,000 titles and interlibrary networks.
    • Student Services Center: Manages dormitories, cafeterias, and other on-campus facilities, ensuring convenience and comfort for the university community.

C. Faculty Level

Each faculty is headed by a Dean with advanced academic qualifications (Master’s, Doctorate, or higher). Deans manage faculty operations, including training, research, and student development. They also recommend appointments for Vice Deans and oversee facilities and equipment within their departments.
