On March 21st, 2019, at the SECC- Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center, the FFT- Faculty of Food Technology cooperated with the Vietnam Food Science and Technology Association (VAFoST) and UBM successfully organizing the Vietnam Food Engineering Symposium - VFES 2019 with the topic "Food and packaging techniques towards sustainable development".
The annual VFES international symposium occurred within the 14th international exhibition and conference on packaging processing, processing & packaging technology in Vietnam (Propak 2019). The FFT is one of the members of the Vietnam Association of Food Science & Technology (VAFoST) and a longtime partner in organizing the international symposium of UBM. Participating in this exhibition, the FFT had an exhibition booth to introduce STU as well as our outstanding activities in training and international cooperation.

In addition, FFT also hosted a scientific seminar organization with the theme "Food and packaging techniques towards sustainable development" with the participation of speakers who are trusted professors and lecturers. In this symposium, FFT had two reports of 2 lecturers who are Dr. Pham Kim Phuong, and MSc. Dang Minh Khanh.

The seminar called a lot of attention from businesses as well as food research scientists from institutes to the topic about sustainable packaging.
