INTRODUCTION

Founded in September 1997 as one of the first faculties of Saigon Technology University (STU), the Faculty of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (FoEEE) has always actively affirmed its development approriate with the demands of global integration. The FoEEE has developed a training program under the credit-based education system with three specilizations, namely: Electronics and Communications Engineering, Automatic Control and Industrial Electronics.

At present, the FoEEE teaching staff consists of 6 doctors, 20 masters, 4 engineers, and several prestigious guest lecturers from other universities. Facilities: The FoEEE is equipped with 19 laboratories and workshops, completely meeting the practice needs of students in the areas of electronics, communications, and automatic control.
The FoEEE’s Creative Club is a home for students’ study and research under the enthusiatic and careful instruction from dedicated and experienced lecturers. Science research: It is an activity of great concern and investment. Annually, many research projects are done, including outstanding ones such as: Manufacturing Chip Test devices & IC, IP PBX systems, and systems of new energy source combination,etc.

TRAINING ENVIRONMENT
Saigon Technology University is a spacious one located in an over two hectare area in District 8, HCMC, Vietnam. STU’s beautiful scenery with green trees and miniature landscapes helps learners feel relaxed after working hours. One of the specially interesting point is the multi-funtion playground where numerous students converge for practice and competition. Students are provided opportunities to study and research with new technologies, modern laboratories and under the instruction of an enthusiatic, high qualified and experienced teaching staff, gaining complete knowledge after graduation.

SCIENCE RESEARCH
From the first academic year, FoEEE students are encouraged to participate in science research projects in the facuty’s academic club, i.e. Creative Club.     
During the past years, many FoEEE students have obtained many awards in various contests. Specially, they entered the final round of the National Robot Contest – Robocon for three continuing years. In 2009, the FoEEE’s Robot Team gained the 13th rank among the total 111 teams in South Vietnam.

SPECIALIZATION OF ELECTRONICS & COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING
Students of the specilization of Electronics & Communications Engineering are provided with not only foundational knowledge about Electronics,igital Technology, Central Processing, etc. but also specialized knowledge such as Telecom Systems, Microwave, Optical Communications, Data networks, Digital Television, Chip technology, etc
Engineers of electronics and communications can work for communications and computer companies, information and mobile centers, televison stations, post offices, factories, industial parks producing devices, mobile phones and chips, centers for mending, maintaining electronic devices.
SPECIALIZATION OF INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING
Students of the specilization of Industrial Electronics Engineering are provided with not only foundational knowledge but also specialized knowledge about eletronics and its systems such as: Power System, Power Supply, Electric Transmission, Power System Automation, Plant Operation, etc
After graduation, students can be in charge of tasks in factories and companies such as design, operation, construction, maintainance of power related works.
SPECIALIZATION OF AUTOMATIC CONTROL ENGINEERING
Students of the specilization of Automatic Control Engineering are provided with not only foundational knowledge but also specialized knowledge about automatic control systems such as: Automatic Control Techniques, Robot Technology, Simulation Model, Intelligent Control Techniques, etc.
