Update 04/10/2012 - 10:07:22 AM (GMT+7)

For the fourth consecutive year, Huynh Cong Thinh, a lecturer in Ho Chi Minh City, has won an IT award granted by U.S. tech giant Microsoft.

Thinh, a 25-year-old lecturer at the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, has been given the Most Valuable Professional Award for his contributions to the IT industry.

He is the founder and administrator of WindowsVn Forums at http://windowsvn.net, a local IT forum that currently has over 100,000 members.

The award is given annually to exceptional technical community leaders worldwide who have demonstrated their deep commitment to helping others make the most of their technology, voluntarily sharing their passion and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products with the community.

Nominated by Microsoft, other community individuals, or in some cases themselves, candidates are rigorously evaluated for their technical expertise, community leadership, and voluntary community contributions over the previous year.

Each year the American corporation presents the award to around 4,000 IT experts from more than 90 countries.
