International Food Ingredients Conference and Exhibition Fi Vietnam 2010

Fi Vietnam 2010 is the first international food additive conference and exhibition in the international Fi system held in Vietnam. Then international conference "Improving food safety and the development of food additives" was organized by the Vietnam Association of Food Science and Technology (VAFoST) in collaboration with the International Union of Food Science and Technology (IUFoST - Union of Science & Technology) with the support of Federation of Institutes of Food Science and Technology of ASEAN (FIFSTA) and FFT.

Fifteen speakers of this seminar included leading food scientists of the world and engineers from the US, UK, Australia, China, India, and member countries of the Federation of Institutes of Food Science and Technology of ASEAN (FIFSTA), together with the scientists from the host country, Vietnam. The host country could gathered many leading scientists of the world because of the active participation of VAFoST at the 15th International Congress of IUFoST held in South Africa in August. At that Congress, VAFoST gave the proposal of "The International Visiting Professor Program" and achieved top 10 of the Global Food Awards of Pho Vietnam of instant noodle VIFON.

On this occasion, foreign professors participated as voluntary teachers at many universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The first stop of them wasff STU and they started the international "Visiting Professor Program" campaign officially. This project is potential and being actively supported by the community of food technology to contribute to the development of education and training for Food Science and Technology in developing countries.
