A group of 52 Norwegian students from Norway had a trip to Hoi An City in central Vietnam on Friday to learn to be farmers as part of their extra-curricular activities.
The trip to the An My vegetable village in Cam Chau District was organized within the framework of a research and development program run by Norway’s University of Oslo and the University of Da Nang, located in Da Nang City in the central region.
Hoi An, a city of Quang Nam Province, is around 30km south of Da Nang.
The program is aimed at providing knowledge of culture, society, and business for students at universities and colleges in Norway.
It is also part of the pilot tourism project implemented in the An My vegetable village.
In An My, the Norwegian students had the chance to live a Vietnamese farming life by wearing farmer clothes, plowing soil, and planting vegetables and rice.
“That’s amazing. Farming is tiring but fun,” Anne, a student from the University of Oslo, said.
“The farmers here are very friendly and hospitable. I’m impressed by your country,” she added.
